INSTALL WITH SUFFICIENT SLOPE FOR DRAINAGE. Waterproof shade sails should not be installed flat where rainwater can collect.
- 160 GSM PU-COATED POLYESTER: UV-treated polyester with a polyurethane coating provides solid outdoor shade and rain protection when installed correctly.
- 12 FT x 12 FT SQUARE: Current product configuration is Royal Blue in a 12 ft x 12 ft square size. Confirm attachment-point spacing before ordering.
- CURVED-EDGE DESIGN: Curved sides help distribute tension and reduce sagging when the sail is properly installed and tensioned.
- REINFORCED CORNERS: Double-stitched reinforced seams and closed welded stainless-steel rings provide durable attachment points.
- WATER MANAGEMENT: Maintain enough slope and tension for rainwater to run off. Re-check the installation for low spots after tensioning and after significant weather.
- SHADE SAIL ONLY: Mounting hardware and support structures are not included unless specifically stated.
How to Measure
How to Measure
The listed size is the finished sail, not the distance between your posts.
- Mark your fixing points (posts, walls, eaves) and measure point to point.
- Leave room for tensioning hardware at every corner: choose a sail 12" to 24" shorter on each side than the distance between your fixing points.
- Rectangles/squares are listed as Length x Width; triangles list all three sides.
- Plan the slope: the sail must be installed at an angle so rain runs off. Water pooling on a flat sail can stretch and damage it.

Installation
Installation
- Use strong fixing points such as set posts or solid structures that can handle wind load.
- Attach hardware (pad eyes, turnbuckles, snap hooks) at each corner.
- Install on a slope: set one or two corners lower than the others so water runs off.
- Tension evenly until the sail is taut with no sagging areas.
Water management: waterproof fabric doesn't let rain through. A flat or loose sail collects water, and the weight can stretch or tear it. Keep it tight and sloped, and remove water promptly if it pools. Take the sail down before storms, heavy rain, high winds or snow.
