INSTALL WITH SUFFICIENT SLOPE FOR DRAINAGE. Waterproof shade sails should not be installed flat where rainwater can collect.
- WATERPROOF PU-COATED POLYESTER: Made from 160+ GSM UV-treated polyester with a polyurethane coating for outdoor shade and rain protection when installed correctly.
- STRAIGHT-EDGE DESIGN: Straight sides provide broad coverage and work best when the sail is evenly supported and tensioned around the perimeter.
- REINFORCED ATTACHMENT POINTS: Reinforced seams, perimeter grommets, and welded stainless-steel corner rings provide multiple points for secure installation.
- WATER MANAGEMENT: Every frame and installation creates different low spots. If water collects, gently lift the fabric from underneath with a smooth, non-sharp object to help the water run off. If needed, small drainage holes may be added at the actual low points after installation.
- CUSTOM SIZES AVAILABLE: Confirm the finished sail dimensions and attachment-point spacing before ordering. Color: Burgundy Red.
How to Measure
How to Measure
The listed size is the finished sail, not the distance between your posts.
- Mark your fixing points (posts, walls, eaves) and measure point to point.
- Leave room for tensioning hardware at every corner: choose a sail 12" to 24" shorter on each side than the distance between your fixing points.
- Rectangles/squares are listed as Length x Width; triangles list all three sides.
- Plan the slope: the sail must be installed at an angle so rain runs off. Water pooling on a flat sail can stretch and damage it.

Installation
Installation
- Use strong fixing points such as set posts or solid structures that can handle wind load.
- Attach hardware (pad eyes, turnbuckles, snap hooks) at each corner.
- Install on a slope: set one or two corners lower than the others so water runs off.
- Tension evenly until the sail is taut with no sagging areas.
Water management: waterproof fabric doesn't let rain through. A flat or loose sail collects water, and the weight can stretch or tear it. Keep it tight and sloped, and remove water promptly if it pools. Take the sail down before storms, heavy rain, high winds or snow.
