I had a detailed drawing/pattern because of a non-standard pergola I built (has a ski chair swing that attaches to one rail). The cover seems sturdy and we love the color (order the color samples). Alion is VERY fast. Maybe too fast :) They accidentally cut a notch on the wrong edge. However, the customer service is excellent and they worked with me on how to best solve the hiccup. Ultimately, I shipped it back (they provided a return label) and they patched it and cut the notch where I needed it. The patch makes it imperfect, but only being happy when things are perfect is not how I want to live my life. I would buy from Alion Home again without hesitation.
Alion first sent color samples (a must).
Then they accommodated my customizations without hesitation. They produced and shipped the privacy shade WAY faster than expected.
I deducted one star because there was a manufacturing flaw in the material. When I mentioned it, Alion did offer to replace it, or discount the item in the form of a partial refund. I opted for the discount to avoid complicating the order further, by shipping it back, potentially adding it to a landfill, and getting a new one shipped. Customer service was excellent. Communication was fast and clear. I would recommend Alion Home.
